Release notes
Videorc 0.9.1 Beta 1
Videorc now updates itself — check, download, and install new versions from Settings without re-downloading from the website.
In-app updates arrive
- Update Videorc from inside the app — Settings → About & updates.
- Updates never interrupt you mid-session — installing is blocked while a recording or stream is live.
- Your installed app version is now shown in Settings.
Videorc 0.9.1 is about never having to download a DMG again.
In-app updates
Open Settings → About & updates and Videorc checks for a new version, downloads it with progress, and installs it on restart. If you're recording or streaming, installing waits until you're done — an update will never cut a session short.
This release also surfaces the app version in Settings, so it's always clear what you're running.
Known issue — fixed in 0.9.2
In this build, camera and microphone capture didn't work in the installed app, even with permissions granted in System Settings (screen recording was unaffected). 0.9.2 fixes it — and thanks to this release, the fix arrives through the in-app updater.
Everything from 0.9.0
Local screen, camera, and microphone recording, the native detached preview, and the signed, notarized macOS build — all still here.
