Terms of Service
The plain-language rules for using Videorc — the free recorder, your account, and the Premium subscription.
Last updated: July 4, 2026
The agreement
These terms are a contract between you and OrcDev ("we", "us"), the operator of Videorc. By creating an account, subscribing to Premium, or using the online features of the app, you accept them. Questions: theorcdev@gmail.com.
The service
Videorc is a macOS recorder. The core recorder is free and open source — recording, native preview, scenes, and your local library work without an account, forever. A paid Premium subscription adds online features: live streaming, multistream controls, encrypted stream-key storage, and AI publishing tools.
The open source application code is licensed under its own license in the code repository; these terms govern the hosted services — accounts, downloads, billing, streaming relays, and AI processing.
Your account
- Give accurate information and keep your credentials to yourself.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- One person per account; a Premium subscription covers your use, not your team's.
Premium, billing, and cancellation
Premium costs $39 per month, or $32.50 per month billed yearly (two months free). Payments are processed by Creem as merchant of record; your purchase is also subject to Creem's buyer terms. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
- Cancel anytime from the billing portal in your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period, and you keep Premium until then.
- When a subscription ends, your account drops back to the free tier — the recorder and your local recordings keep working.
- Refunds are handled through Creem in line with its refund policy and your statutory rights.
- If we change prices, existing subscribers get notice before the new price applies to a renewal.
Fair use of AI features
AI publishing features have monthly usage quotas that are shown in your account. Quotas exist to keep the feature fast and affordable for everyone; systematic attempts to circumvent them (shared accounts, automation abuse) can lead to throttling or suspension.
Acceptable use
- Follow the law — including recording consent laws where you record, and the rules of any platform you stream to (Twitch, YouTube, X, or any RTMP destination).
- Don't stream or publish content you have no right to use, and don't use Videorc to infringe anyone's rights.
- Don't probe, overload, or interfere with the service, and don't resell it.
Your content
Everything you record is yours. When you submit content to a cloud feature (for example an AI publish pack), you give us the limited permission needed to process it and return the result to you — for that purpose only. We do not use your content to train our own models, and we do not claim any ownership of it.
Warranties and liability
The service is provided "as is", without warranties. Streams depend on third-party platforms, and AI output can be wrong — review it before you publish it. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
Termination
You can stop using the service or delete your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms; where reasonable, we will warn you first. The free, open source recorder on your Mac is unaffected by any of this.
Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of Serbia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will update this page, adjust the date above, and flag significant changes on the website or by email. See also our Privacy Policy.
